adidas, the leading global football brand, earlier today revealed the new Nigerian home and away kits for the forthcoming 2014 FIFA WORLD CUP BRAZIL™

This season's home kit departs from the traditional racing green to an exciting and striking lighter variant, reflecting a fresh, young and vibrant Super Eagles team that carries the hopes of a proud Nigerian nation.

adidas Presents New Russian National Football Team Away Kit

adidas presents the official away kit of the Russian national football team, in which the players will perform during the World Cup 2014 in Brazil. The innovative feature of the uniform is its incredible lightness. The net weight of the uniform set is only 320 grams, which is 40% lighter than the previous one in 2012 (510 grams). The other special features are the unique design, inspired by the achievements of Russia in exploring space and latest technologies that have been used in the kit production.

Black & Red Stripes For German National Team

adidas today presented the new away jersey for the German national team in collaboration with the German football Association (DFB). At the 2014 FIFA World Cup™ in Brazil, national coach Joachim Löw's team will play for the first time in jerseys with black & red horizontal stripes. Özil, Schweinsteiger, Müller & Co. will complete their new outfit with black shorts and black socks. adidas Unveils Brazuca: Official Match ball of 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil

adidas unveiled Brazuca, the official 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ match ball. 
 


The ball was revealed with a spectacular 3D light projection launch event held at the iconic Parque Lage in Rio de Janeiro. 



brazuca was named back in September 2012 following a public vote in Brazil involving 1 million football fans; the name "brazuca" is an informal local term which means "Brazilian", or to describe the Brazilian way of life. 



The colours and ribbon design of the ball panels symbolise the traditional multi-coloured wish bracelets worn in the country (fita do Senhor do Bonfim da Bahia), in addition to reflecting the vibrancy and fun associated with football in Brazil.

adidas Presents The New Argentinean Football Federation Jersey

adidas is today proud to present the new official Argentinean Football Federation jersey to be worn by the team during the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2014 in Brazil. 
 

The most representative sign of the Argentinean passion, its national football team, and the most important and patriotic icon of the nation, the flag, come together in the design of this jersey. The entire kit of shirt, shorts and socks are totally red, contrasted with the golden adidas three stripes and the other design details. German National Team to Play World Cup all in White


At the 2014 FIFA World Cup™ in Brazil, the German team will play a World Cup for the first time in an all-white kit. 


Supplier adidas today presented the new home jersey in collaboration with the German Football Association (DFB). The outfit comprises the squad's traditional white jersey combined with white shorts. "The white shorts symbolise the ease of play of the German game. It is a statement of class, elegance and love of the game," said Jürgen Rank, Chief Designer for football apparel at adidas. 

 Philipp Lahm, German team captain: "It's great that the new outfit is one colour from socks to jersey." The most striking feature of the new kit is the graphic design on the front, made up of various shades of red as an interpretation of the German flag. 
Three stars on the chest symbolise the World Cup titles the German team won in 1954, 1974 and 1990. Silver design elements, such as the new DFB logo, further enhance the look of the home jersey. "It's really good that the jersey design is so very much different and a lot more eye-catching than previous kits," said national team defender Mats Hummels

 For the first time ever, it was fans of the German national team who unveiled the new jersey in a digital fan choreography on the Internet (www.unserefarbenoderkeine.de). A new campaign spot for the white jersey will launch on TV, in cinemas and online on November 13th, with the tagline "Unsere Farben oder keine" (which translates as "Show your colours or fade away"). 

The German team will wear their new kit for the first time on November 15th. In their test game against Italy in Milan, the players will be fully kitted out in white.

The concept of this brand new official home uniform for the Japan National Football Team is "ENJIN (i.e., the act of 'going into a huddle')": the uniform is an expression of the strong determination as the players and the supporters realise that now is the time to unite as one and go into a huddle ("ENJIN") to get ready for the battle ahead, to go all in for the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ and capture victory.

On the left side of the chest, there are 11 lines spreading out from the emblem, expressing the way those players depart from the "ENJIN" to their respective positions on the pitch for the battle.

From a technology point of view, the uniform features the new ultra-light polyester material called adizero, which helps to make it up to 40% lighter in comparison to previous versions of the kit, while retaining enhanced mobility and wider performance benefits.

adidas Reveal Yohji Yamamoto adizero f50



adidas have teamed up with award-winning Japanese fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto, the man behind the adidas Y-3 fashion brand, to launch the limited edition Yohji Yamamoto adizero f50 boot.


The collaboration between adidas and the well-known designer marks the latest in a line of special edition football boots, following on from the successful release of the White Copa Mundial & "Enlightened" reflective football boots in recent weeks.

Only 2,000 pairs of the visually striking f50s will be available globally and the boots are sure to excite fans when they go on sale from this coming Monday (28th October).

The front of the boot displays a pair of imperial lion-dogs who, in ancient times, guarded the emperors of Japan who used to live on sacred ground. This traditional design has been placed in the context of Japan's modern sci-fi culture creating a spiritual connection between the past and the future. The result is an unexpecteddesign that draws inspiration from the fashion world in order to make a bold statement on the football field. 



Yohji Yamamoto explained: "My inspiration is a mixture of ancient traditions and modern sci-fi from Japanese culture… I hope the inspiration of the boot harmonises the players and gives them extra confidence to express themselves without any fear. People should feel free to express themselves. Just follow your own instinct."

The Yamamoto f50 uses the same technology as the current adizero f50 range and enables players to be faster than ever before. Precision engineering has played an integral role in every aspect of the boot design andat only 165gis one of the lightest shoes on the market.

adidas Enlighten the Field of Play




adidas will light up the UEFA Champions League with its reflective exposure innovation for boots that captures and bounces off the light of floodlights and cameras to stun defenders and opposition. This is the first time reflective exposure has been used on one of the world's biggest football stages and adidas continue to lead from the front when taking football boot technology to the next level. 




'The Enlightened Pack' takes the customisation capabilities on the miadidas web site to new heights, with fans now able to opt for a 'reflective exposure'materialon their boots and lacesto bring the iconic three stripes to life on the pitch. The customisations will be available across all four adidas football footwear silos: adizero f50; predator; nitrocharge and 11pro. 



Europe's top players will debut the reflective technology in a one off appearance during the forthcoming UEFA Champions League matches on the 22nd / 23rd October 2013. Adidas first used reflective technology in their sports footwear in 2012 when launching the adidas adizero Smoke "Spotlight" colourway in American Football.

adidas and the Mexican Football Federation announce the new "Tricolor" jersey

Today, adidas and the Mexican Football Federation announce the official on-pitch presentation of the National Team's uniform, during its FIFA World Cup Qualifier match against Panama at the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City, Mexico.

Mexico's National Football team is the first of all adidas sponsored teams to present its new uniform. The match kit will convey the entire country's hopes and optimism as the team battle to qualify for the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™.

The new jersey features a bi tonal green base, to form a unique and premium design, while the elegant white touches on the chest, sleeves and the iconic three stripes add to the overall look of the jersey.

adidas Release Limited Edition of World's Most Popular Football Boot

adidas is proud to unveil a limited edition version of their most famous football boot to date: the iconic Copa Mundial. 


Released in 1982, the Copa Mundial is the best-selling boot in football history and has been worn by some of the all-time greats including Franz Beckenbauer, Michel Platini, Zico & Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. Since then it has been sold over 10 million times and was actually the last revolutionary product innovation created by sporting goods legend and founder of the adidas brand Adi Dassler. He had been personally involved in the early development of the original Copa Mundial before he passed away in 1978.
